Pumpkin Delight

This week I’ve been having some fun shopping for fabric and drawing up patterns for some ideas for future projects. I have all these ideas rolling around in my head and I’m trying to stay off the computer and actually DO some crafting :)
It’s fall and I am so ready for the colors and textures and crisp  cool air of fall, but it’s been in the 90’s this week. Yes, I know we live in a desert, but it’s a MOUNTAIN desert… lol! I’m surrounded by the most beautiful mountains in the world and the leaves on the mountain trees are changing already, but with our 90 degree weather it’s not quite happening here just yet.  Since we’re not getting fall just yet I decided to create a little fall for my home.
Here are a few pumpkins I made using another Fiskars pattern.  They are very similar to some that I have made previously and are super duper easy.   I’m seriously thinking about doing a Ustream video and inviting you all to play along with me on a project like this.  What do you think?

MMMM falll colors and textures, rich and delicious.  I pulled some fabric that I had set aside in my stash for some table runners … so glad I did because I am in love with pumpkins right now!

A tower of texture! Tee hee!
Here’s a little close up of the button stem (my twist on the project).  The original did not have a stem.. they just glued the leaf and curly ribbon into place.  There is no glue on this project.. it is completely hand sewn (after the original pumpkins are machine stitched to form the rounds...)  My aching fingers are proof.

I’m off to pick up my space and make an owl or two!

I would LOVE to see a tutorial on these...I just LOVE pumpkins because I triple use them for Halloween and Thanksgiving and then paint them white and stack 'em for "Frosty"...not these though...these would be treasured on my table!!! YES, YES, YES for a tutorial!

Ooohhh, ooohhh, oooooooooh! I LURVE your pumpkins, Erin! *Ü*

I'm so tickled to know you are creating up a storm again!

I hear you about the heat...it's been hot here too. 90s in Sept is more like CA than CO or UT. LOL

DARLING pumpkins! I have had a hard time decorating for fall here as well - it's been hot here, too! I'm also craving pumpkin cookies but don't feel like baking with the heat ;-) Thanks for sharing another one of your wonderful creations!
