Skipping Stones Design Sketch Tuesday: SSD018 – Chicks

It’s been a really wonky weekend.  I attended the funeral of a friend on Saturday and my job at church ended (I was released as the 2nd counselor in our Relief Society – ladies group) after over 3.5 years working with the ladies. I was so sad to end my “calling”.  I have just felt emotionally drained and my mojo has flown the coop. *poof*

Anyway, enough whining already.

Today’s sketch is our last one from Sgt Stamper.  Thank you to Sgt Stamper for her wonderful sketches this month!

Here’s the sketch:

And here’s my card for this sketch:

Erin, this is a super cute card! Love those chickies. They sure bring a smile to my face.

I'm so sorry to hear you had such a tough weekend. :( I hope the family of your friend finds comfort. I also hope you can find a new "calling" to help fill the void left by leaving the one you had.

Hugs!!!

I love it! So cute as always! I know it isn't easy being released from a calling you love. When I got released from the YW Presidency last year I had the hardest time dealing with the loss. Hope you can find a way to fill the void. Hugs to you!

Thanks for the tip about going over to SSD. You KNOW I LOVE that set!....the first one.....so I MUST see what to do to earn the second!!!
I'm sorry about your rough weekend! :( Those are toughies no doubt. :( It's always hard to lose someone we love and care about. My heart is with you AND your friends family.
Re:your calling.....YOU are an AMAZING woman!!!!! AMAZING!! I KNOW God has something else in store for you. The last calling was a stepping stone...you had something to learn to bring to your next calling. Maybe your gifts and abilities weren't being using to their FULL potential??
I know that doesn't take away the feeling of loss BUT instead focus on the good times you had while you did it and look forward to what God has in store for you now. I KNOW He only has WONDERFULLY AMAZING things in store for you!!
I LOVE YOU my sweet, sweet friend!!!
